Bergen is named the town surrounded by 7 mountains and got several sights within walking distance.
When departing Bergen we choose the spectacular inside passage towards the Sognefjord.
Marvelous wooden houses, stave churches, waterfalls and breathtaking steep mountains will be remembered forever.
During the voyage towards Aalesund we pass a mountain named
Hornelen. Rumours tell that you should not use the ship whistle
in that particular area to avoid extra load on deck.
Selje Monastery was built by Benedictine monks in the 12th century.
